Collaboration with internal and external partners is desirable.

Tasks:
Modeling of HVDC systems and their control in MATLAB / Simulink.
Integration of voltage-forming control concepts (direct voltage control, grid-forming, etc.)
Modeling an HVDC system in the simulation software Powerfactory Disgilent

Requirements / Tasks:
Knowledge of the simulation programs MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD / EMTDC and Powerfactory / Digsilent, as well as experience in modeling inverters, are absolutely essential for carrying out this task.
Knowledge in the field of network calculation for energy supply networks, e.g. stability analyses, reactive power requirements, is advantageous.
The task will be taken over after a training period.
Modeling of HVDC systems and their control in MATLAB / Simulink.
Integration of voltage-forming control concepts (direct voltage control, grid-forming, etc.)
Modeling of an HVDC system in the simulation software PSCAD / EMTDC

Qualification:
Master of Engineering in Electrical and Control Engineering, preferably specializing in Energy Technology, Mechatronics or a comparable field
at least 3 years of relevant professional experience
Experience with PSCAD and MATLAB/Simulink
Good to very good knowledge in the field of power electronics and modeling of converters (HVDC, WTG, etc.) and their control, especially in the area of voltage-forming control concepts.
Fluent in German and English
Intercultural experience and skills in collaborating with internal and external partners are desirable.
