Tasks

You design, configure, and maintain Azure network infrastructures, including hub‑and‑spoke and hybrid models (VNets, routing, load balancers, application gateways, VPN, ExpressRoute)
You are responsible for the design, configuration, and operation of Palo Alto firewalls in Azure, including policies, NAT rules, routing, and security zones
As part of daily operations, you provide Level‑2 support for Azure network and firewall‑related incidents and service requests
Acting as a network subject‑matter expert, you support Azure projects from architectural design through implementation to go‑live
You ensure compliance with security standards and cloud networking best practices
By contributing your expertise, you help define, document, and continuously improve Azure network standards and reference architectures
Where applicable, you support automation and Infrastructure‑as‑Code approaches in the networking domain

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable education
Strong hands‑on experience with Azure networking and hybrid cloud connectivity
Practical experience with Palo Alto firewalls, ideally within Azure environments
Solid understanding of network fundamentals, including routing, switching, DNS, IP addressing, VPN, and security concepts
Proven troubleshooting skills and hands‑on experience in Level‑2 operational support
Azure certifications such as AZ‑700 are considered a plus
Team‑oriented professional with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, trust‑based environment, combined with a structured, independent, and solution‑oriented working style
Fluent in both German and English, written and spoken
