Industrail Automation Engineer (m/w/d)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement automation systems according to IEC 61131 in the PLCnext Engineer programming environment for our Direct Air Capture systems.
Work together with electrical engineers, machine builders, and technicians to design your automation systems in the best possible way for the project.
Design and configure Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for operators to monitor and interact with the automated systems. Create intuitive graphical interfaces for real-time data visualization, alarm management, and system diagnostics using software tools compatible with the PLCnext System.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to automation control systems by analyzing programs, electrical schematics, and mechanical components. Perform regular maintenance tasks such as software updates, calibration, and hardware replacement to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality improvement within the automation systems. Propose and implement innovative solutions, such as predictive maintenance strategies or advanced control algorithms, to enhance productivity and reliability.
Perform onsite commissioning and maintenance work at our internationally built-up DAC facilities

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Automation Engineering or related field
Experience with IEC 61131 automation programming
Strong knowledge in system integration and troubleshooting
HMI development is desirable
Experience with PLCnext is advantageous
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Fluent English skills
German language skills at minimum B1 level
Willingness to travel
