MEP (Senior) Consultant



  • Developing building services concepts during feasibility studies, with analysis and technical assessments to develop decarbonization roadmaps. Carrying out calculations, producing sketches and schematics, and leading energy analyses
  • Developing energy and sustainability concepts for new or existing buildings. Building analytical models of energy consumption and analysis of metering data
  • Proposal of improvement measures and full assessment based on different criteria (e.g., feasibility, timeline, cost, energy/carbon savings, etc.)
  • Support at Technical Due Diligence and building surveys of existing buildings with site inspections to assess the condition of the MEP system, estimate remaining equipment lifetime, and necessary replacement/repair costs
  • Supporting the Technical Monitoring / Quality Assurance of Projects with Design Reviews and Construction Inspections
  • Working closely with clients, including architects, developers, investors, building owners, occupiers, and operators. Understanding their needs and working with Senior Engineers and Team Leads to provide ambitious and effective services
  • Consulting with clients and stakeholders throughout project stages and identifying opportunities for new projects



  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in MEP design and/or consulting in Building Services Engineering. Interdisciplinary knowledge within MEP, focusing on Mechanical/energy-related disciplines and a good understanding of Electrical and Plumbing
  • Qualified to a degree level of mechanical or building services engineering or equivalent
  • A proven track record in building services design and/or technical building energy and sustainability analysis will also be considered
  • Experience with site visits and site investigations is a must
  • Experience in calculating operational carbon and energy modeling is a plus, and understanding how these and other metrics impact different projects
  • Ability to think out of the box, challenge the status quo, and critically problem solve.
  • Ability to understand complex issues and apply networked thinking
  • Experience and/or driving interest in optimization, digitalization, sustainability, and quality assurance. Familiarity or even accreditation with BREEAM, LEED, or WELL certification schemes would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Comfortable working with relevant software and modeling packages, including AutoCAD, IES VE, and experience in energy modeling would be advantageous but is not essential
  • High technical know-how, social competence, and a good intuition for people and facts.
  • Ability to speak and write French or Dutch, and English, with clients and third parties.
  • Any other foreign language is a strong plus
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility to work on international projects
